We’re excited to announce the promotion of Maria Bayas to Digital Account Coordinator. In her new role at R&J, Bayas will be responsible for helping to devise and execute digital marketing plans based on the agency’s clients’ strategic goals. She will target specific channels to maximize audience engagement and use her expertise in social media tools and business capabilities to make a difference for the agency’s clients. Her social initiatives will tap into various industry disciplines including B2B, non-profit, real estate, healthcare and consumer goods for large and mid-sized businesses.
After joining R&J in January 2016 as a Public Relations Intern, Bayas excelled in all facets of the position, but was particularly drawn to digital marketing. She transitioned to the Digital team in June 2017 where she continued to successfully execute creative work, content creation and community management.
“Maria has proven to be an exceptional digital marketing practitioner. Her work ethic and the effective strategies she has brought to the table warranted this promotion,” said Tim Gerdes, Director of Digital Services at R&J Strategic Communications. “Maria’s creativity and understanding of our clients’ unique business model and all things social, makes her an incredible asset. She has already contributed so much to the agency and our clients for the past year and a half, we can only foresee great things with her on the team.”
A resident of South Brunswick, NJ, Bayas graduated from Rutgers University School of Business in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and minor in Art History. She previously interned at the Rutgers University Career Services office as a Marketing Assistant and was the Director of Rutgers University Programming Association where she planned and executed events on campus.
