R&J Breathes Life Into Heartwarming Story of Humanity out of War-torn Gaza

When R&J learned the story of Maria Amman, an 11-year-old Palestinian girl who had been paralyzed in an exchange of missiles on the Gaza Strip, and the multi-national effort to provide her with a rare and life-changing surgery, we knew the story had to be told. The New York Daily News ran the article that details the touching story of a young girl whose spirit emerged unscathed and the New York thoracic surgeon from Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center, who traveled half-way across the world to Jerusalem to perform the surgery that only he and a handful of doctors could perform.
