R&J Public Relations LLC, of Bridgewater, N.J., is pleased to announce that they will be the public relations agency of record for the Polaroid brand in North America.  R&J will engineer and execute a comprehensive media relations program in support of the resurgent, iconic brand and its diverse range of consumer electronics products. R&J and PLR IP Holdings, LLC (d/b/a Polaroid) will work together to continue the company’s growth and development as one of the most trusted and recognized names in the consumer electronics industry.

Polaroid is an American-based international consumer electronics brand, originally founded in 1937 by Edwin H. Land.  It is most famous for its instant film cameras, which reached the market in 1948 and have continued to be the company’s flagship product line for its 75 year history.   Edwin Land’s original idea behind instant photography was to create a photographic system that was seamless and easy for anyone to use.  The brand has long maintained that vision and is wholeheartedly focused on hitting the market with quality products that are innovative, easy to use, and fun.  Today, the Polaroid product line expands across all platforms to include televisions, tablets, mobile phones, and camcorders.

“We are excited about the opportunity to work with an American brand that has such a storied history and such a bright future,” said Scott Marioni, Executive Vice President of R&J Public Relations. “Our deep experience in the CE and imaging markets combined with the brand’s vision will enable us to do great things together. We look forward to helping write the next chapters in the history of this iconic brand.”

The Polaroid Brand

Across several generations, people regard Polaroid as one of the most trusted, well-respected and recognizable brands when it comes to technology.  The history of Polaroid began 75 years ago, with its roots stemming back to Polaroid instant film, cameras and camera accessories – thus was the introduction of the famous Polaroid Classic Border Logo which is still recognized today as a true landmark of photography.

In recent years, Polaroid has expanded its range of products in consumer electronics and photography, such as instant and digital cameras, high-definition camcorders, mobile printers, tablets, flat-screen TVs and more. People can expect to see new Polaroid products that will deliver the fun, instant gratification and value that the brand has long stood. For more information, visit www.Polaroid.com.
