R&J Public Relations has been named one of the Best Places to Work in New Jersey for 2012 by NJBIZ Magazine.  This is the second year the agency has earned this recognition.

This prestigious annual program identifies, recognizes and honors the top places of employment in New Jersey.  The Best Places to Work in New Jersey program honors up to 70 companies split into two groups: small/medium-sized companies (15-249 employees) and large-sized companies (more than 250 employees).  R&J Public Relations has been named one of the Best Places to Work in New Jersey in the medium category, becoming one of only 29 companies to receive this honor in the small/medium-sized business category.

“To be recognized for the second year in a row for this award is a great honor for our agency,” said John Lonsdorf, President of R&J Public Relations.  “We pride ourselves on providing our employees with an environment in which they can thrive both professionally and personally.  The key to our success, and to our earning this recognition, is hiring great people and allowing them to create a vibrant and productive culture.  This award is really a testament to our outstanding staff and to the energy and enthusiasm they bring to work with them every day.”

Companies from across the state entered the two-part process through which the Best Places to Work in New Jersey were identified.  The first part, which accounted for approximately 25% of each nominee’s overall score, evaluated the company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics.  The second, and most important, part of the process consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience and their satisfaction with their place of employment.  The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking.  The overall registration and survey process was managed by Best Companies Group of Harrisburg, PA, which analyzed the data and determined the final rankings.

The award program, created in 2005, is produced by NJBIZ. NJBIZ, program sponsors and partners will honor this year’s 100 Best Places to Work and announce their rankings during an awards dinner and ceremony on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at the Hilton in East Brunswick.

The program sponsors are Gibbons, P.C. and Novo Nordisk. The program is in partnership with Garden State Council SHRM, The New Jersey State Chamber, Employers Association of New Jersey and the New Jersey Economic Development Authority.
